MobileHelp For S60 3rd Edition

"MobileHelp" application is a value-added service on Nokia S60 3.0 platform. It have lots of functions: 1.Back up SMS messages. 2.Quickly find all of the phone call records for a specific contact. 3.Quickly find all of the messages for a specific contact. 4.IP call. 5.Emulate an incoming call. 6.Search for contacts by keywords (company, notes, title etc), time, and number. 7.Message management. 8.Screen capture. 9.Add signature for composed messages automatically. 10.File security. 11.Create a secrete name list for making call, sending messages, and message management.


Contacts
Once "MobileHelp" is launched, "Contact" window is shown, and it shows the contact list. In this window:
1.After a user presses the right key, it will go into the "Messages" window, in which all of the messages related to the current contact are shown.
2.After a user presses the left key, it will go into the "Call" window, in which all of the call records related to the current contact are shown.

Menu functions:

1、Baby list
this is a protected area, and a user needs to input a correct password to enter this area. The default password is "123", and it can be changed in the "Settings" window.

2、 Open
open the current item in the window.

3、Create message
create an SMS or MMS message using the current contact in the window. Please be noted a signature will be automatically added into the editor window if "Enable signature" is enabled in the "Settings" window.

4、Settings
enter the "Settings" window to make some configurations.

5、Contact search
This is a multi-function hotkey:
enter the search window to search for a contact by keying a keyword (name, company, email, hobbies, number etc), or search for contacts by numbers, or by time. A user may key in some of
the hobbies (like "badminton", or "climbing" etc), or relationship (like "colleague", "father", or "sister") in the "Note" area of a contact (by selecting "Add details", the followed by selecting "Note") when editing a contact. As such, a user may search for the specific keyword (like "badminton") to find all of the related contacts in which have the keywords in the contact database.

6、New contact
create a new contact into the phonebook.

7、Edit
edit the current contact in the window.

8、Delete
delete the current contact in the window.

9、File security
enter the file security window to encrypt/decrypt the files in the phone.

10、Msg manage
enter the message manage window to manage all of the messages (SMS/MMS).

11、Register
Register the application. After the application has been registered, this item will not be shown any more. When the user firstly starts the application:
3 days trial or
10 free IP calls, or
10 free automatic message hidings, or
40 free contact search, or
10 free fake call, or
10 free file encryptions
10 free screen captures
After the trial period has been over, then the context picture will become a "RED" dot, and some of the function may not be performed properly. In the registration form, after a user has pressed "OK", the application exits. After the application has been registered successfully, this menu item will not be shown any more.

Messages
In the "Contact" window, after a user presses the right key, then this window will be shown. By default, it shows the "Inbox visible" messages (SMS/MMS) of the current contact in the "Contact" window.

1、Write message
create a new message. Please be noted a signature will be automatically added into the editor window if "Enable signature" is enabled in the "Settings" window.

2、 Expose
expose the message (SMS/MMS) at the current index of the list box. In this case, the SMS can be viewed from the normal S60 "Messaging" application.

3、Hide
hide the message (SMS/MMS) at the current index of the list box. In this case, a normal S60 "Messaging" application cannot see the message any more.

4、SMS Log
this is a protected area, and a user has to supply a correct password to enter it. The default password is "123". After entering the SMS log window, all of the SMS messages will be shown according to time order defined in the "Settings". Please be noted that both "inbox" and "outbox" messages are intermixed with each other, and finally, it make the display more like "chatting". The messages also include the "invisible" ones.

5、Show all visible
show all of the visible messages regardless of "inbox" or "outbox" messages. The display will be looking like chatting, and the messages are displayed by time. All of the messages in the "My folders" are also included!

6、Show all invisible
show all of the invisible messages regardless of "inbox" or "outbox" messages. The messages are displayed by time. All of the messages in the "My folders" are also included! This is a protected area, and a user has to enter the correct password. The default password is "123", which can be changed in "Settings"

7、Show inbox invisible
show all of the invisible messages in the "inbox" for the selected contact in the "Contact" window. A user has to enter the correct password to get in.

8、Show inbox visible
show all of the visible messages in the "inbox" for the selected contact in the "Contact" window.

9、Show outbox invisible
show all of the invisible messages in the "outbox" for the selected contact in the "Contact" window. A user has to enter the correct password to get in.

10、Show outbox visible
show all of the visible messages in the "outbox" for the selected contact in the "Contact" window.
For convenience, a use may press key "1" for select a message, and press key "3" to deselect a message.

SMS Log
This window shows all of the SMS messages for current contact. This is a protected function, and a user has to input a correct password in order to get into this window. The default password is "123", and it can be changed in the "Settings".
All of the messages including visible/invisible, inbox/outbox are displayed, and they are displayed in the order of sent/received time. A user may choose the following time orders to display the messages, which can be set in the "Settings" window:
1) Ascending: latest messages are displayed first for viewing 2) Descending: latest messages are displayed last for viewing. This is the default setting, and it is good for backing up the messages to a computer for viewing them in word format.
All of the messages in the "My folders" are also included!

1、Back up
used to send the file to a computer via infra-red/Bluetooth/MMS/network. For some of the contacts, the size could be big and it is not recommended to send by MMS.
The file name is: SmsLog.doc.
If a user sends the file to a computer, the file is normally goes into the following directory in the computer:
C:\\USERS\\Bluetooth Exchange Folder\\SmsLog.doc
If a user sends the file to a computer via infra-red, then file normally goes into the following directory:
C:\\USERS\\My Received Files\\SmsLog.doc
Once the file received by a computer, a user may just simply double-click the file name to view the file in word format.

Call Records
In the "Contact" window, after a user presses the left key, then this window will be shown.By default, it shows the "Answered" calls of the current contact in the "Contact" window.

1、Call
Make a call using the current contact.

2、Write message
create a new SMS/MMS message. Please be noted a signature will be automatically added into the editor window if "Enable signature" is enabled in the "Settings" window.

3、Extract number
extract the number from the current contact.

4、Show all records
show all of the records for the current contact including the "Answered calls", "Dialled calls" and "Missed calls".

5、Show missed call
show all of the missed calls for the current contact.

6、Show dialled call
show all of the dialled for the current contact.

7、Show answered call
show all of the answered called for the current contact.

8、Delete
delete the current call record.

Contact Search
Once this window is open, by default, it shows all of the contacts from contact database, and the default search method is "Number search". By keying a number in the search box, then a user may easily find the corresponding person's name. The number can be any part of the phone number.
Please be noted that those contacts with no phone number fields are not shown in the list. As such, the searching function will not function for them!
A user may use navigation keys to view the "Call" and "Messages" window of the contact in the "Contact" window.
Searching function is a very important part of the functions of "MobileHelp". It applies to the following scenarios:
1) A user wants to search for the phonebook contacts established during a period of time (the user may forget the names and numbers in this context, and the user only roughly remembers when the contacts were created, for example, during a holiday). The user may use "Time search" function. 2) A user wants to list all of the contacts according to part of the names, hobbies/relationship (like "Badminton", which can be added into the "Note" field by selecting "Add details" in contact editing mode, etc), company, job title, email, fax etc. The user may choose "Keyword search". For example, a user may easily find all of the contacts from "Nokia" company if the company information "Nokia" has already be keyed in when creating the contacts. Of course, the keyword could be part of the numbers as well. 3) A user wants to find a contact according to a number. The user may choose "Number search", which is the default search method.

1、View
view the current contact.

2、Keyword search
search for the contacts, which contain the keyword in "name", "company", "number", "email", "job title", "fax" and "note".

3、Number search
search for the contacts, which contain the number. The number can be part of the phone numbers in the contact fields, for example "2345".

4、Time search
search for the contacts, which were created during the defined period of time.

5、Show missed call
show all of the missed calls for the current contact.

6、Show dialled call
show all of the dialled for the current contact.

7、Show answered call
show all of the answered called for the current contact.

8、Delete
delete the current call record.

Settings

1、IP Call profile
this is the profile for making IP call. For some of the operators, a mobile user may insert a prefix at the beginning of a number and/or append an affix to the end of a number before dialling. By using the modified number, a user may make an IP call to save cost. A user may define his/her profile in the profile window.

2、 My own name
this is the name used in the "SMS Log" window or the sender's name when a user selects the view "All invisible msgs" or "All visible msgs" in the "Messages" window. By having this name, a user may view the messages like chatting. This name is also used when displaying all of the call records in "Call" window by selecting "Show all records".

3、Personal password
this is the password for all of the protected area in the application. Meanwhile, it is also the password used for the file encryption in the "File security". A user may set a different password. The default password is "123".

4、Image size
a user may press the "ABC" key (on which has a pen icon) together with the numeric key "5" simultaneously to capture the phone screen. The image files can be found in the S60 "Gallery". This item defines the size for the captured file:
1) Main pane: the main pane area of the screen
2) Whole screen: whole phone screen is taken
For QWERTY keyboard layout (E61/E62), "Ctrl" + "Q" is used to capture the screen.

5、Memory in use
define where to store the captured images.

6、Image name
define the captured image name.

7、Enable signature
if it is on, then all of the composed messages will automatically inserted a pre-defined signature, which is defined in "Message signature".

8、Message signature
define the signature to be used when composing a message.

9、SMS Log time order
define how the SMS messages are displayed in the "SMS Log" window, which can be selected in the "Messages" window. 1) Ascending: latest messages are displayed first for viewing
2) Descending: latest messages are displayed last for viewing. This is the default setting, and it is good for backing up the messages to a computer for viewing them in word format.
Fake trigger type: define the way to trigger a fake call. It is very useful in a situation when a user wants to make an excuse to go away. This function emulates an incoming call from someone though there is none physically at all. Make sure there is a selected ring tone selected to make the function properly. none physically at all. 1) None: the function is disabled
2) By Hotkey: a user may press "ABC" (on which there is a pen icon) and "2" key simultaneously to emulate an incoming. Once hotkey is pressed, after "Fake time delay" times out, a faked incoming call will happen. 3) By time: a faked call will happen at a specific time defined by "Fake trigger date" and "Fake trigger time".
10、Fake caller's name
the caller's name appearing in the incoming call. If it is null, then, the "Fake phone number" is displayed instead.

11、Fake phone number
when "Fake caller's name" is null, then this number appears in the faked incoming call.

12、Fake ring tone
define the ring tone to be used in the faked call.

13、Fake time delay
define the time delay for triggering the incoming call after a user presses the hot key ("ABC" + "2"). This item only appears when "Fake trigger type" is set to "By Hotkey".

14、Fake trigger date
define the date for triggering the fake call. This item only appears when "Fake trigger type" is set to "By time".

15、Fake trigger time
define the exact time on the day for triggering the fake call. This item only appears when "Fake trigger type" is set to "By time". At the time, a faked incoming call will happen.

16、Auto hide messages
when this option is on, then whenever, this application is up, it starts to scan the message store to make the messages to/from the "Baby list" automatically hidden (invisible). When "MobileHelp" is running, then it also automatically hides the messages from the "Baby list". Meanwhile, a blinking small envelope icon appears at the right-top corner of the screen, reminding there is an unread message from "Baby list". After the user enters "Baby list" window, then enter "Messages" window by pressing right key, the blinking will be stopped.
When scanning messages, all of the call records are also scanned. If the records are required to be removed, them they are removed automatically!

Baby List
This is a protected area, and only if a user has input the correct password, then the user is allowed to enter this area. The default password is "123", which is defined by "Personal password" in the "Settings".
If a user wants to create a secrete name list for making call, sending messages, then this is the perfect place, and the names here may not appear in the S60 "Contact" application (for some reasons, a user may not want to put there).
If a small blinking icon is currently blinking at the top-right corner of the screen (when "MobileHelp" is running), meaning that there is an "unread" incoming message (SMS/MMS) from the "Baby list". After the user has entered this area, then press right key to go into the "Messages" window, it will stop blinking automatically.
A user may use the navigation keys to do the followings:
1) A user may press left key to switch to "Call" window, in which all of the call records from the "Baby list" are shown regardless of the current index in the contact window.
2) A user may press right key to switch to "Messages" window, in which all of the messages from the "Baby list" are shown regardless of current index in the contact window.
In the "Messages" window, a user may view all of the hidden SMS messages from the list defined in the "Baby list". Whenever there is a new incoming SMS/MMS from "Baby list", and "MobileHelp" is running, then the SMS/MMS message will be automatically become hidden (invisible) and a small envelope icon will be blinking at the top-right corner of the screen if "Auto hide messages" (in "Settings") is on.
3) By pressing "OK" key, a user may view the details of the current contact in the "Baby list". 1、Start scanning
start to scan all of the messages (SMS/MMS) and call records regardless of the setting in "Auto hide messages". If the messages are to/from the "Baby list", then the messages will automatically become hidden (invisible). Meanwhile, if "Delete call record" options is on in the contact setting of "Baby list", then the call records from the contact will be automatically deleted.

2、 From phonebook
a user may import some contacts from phonebook by using this function.

3、Write message
create a new SMS/MMS message. Please be noted a signature will be automatically added into the editor window if "Enable signature" is enabled in the "Settings" window.

4、Make call
make an outgoing call.

5、New
create a new contact entry for the "Baby list".

6、Edit
edit the current contact in the "Baby list".

7、Delete
delete the current entry in the "Baby list".

8、Menu rename
rename the "Baby list" in the main window. If someone does not like the name "Baby list", then a user may change it to someone else.

Contact details
1、Name
name of the contact.

2、 Number
phone number

3、Delete call record
when this option is "on":
1) After application is launched, when "Auto hide messages" in "Settings" is "on", all of the call records from the "Baby list" will be automatically removed.
2) When exiting from "Baby list" window, or when a user selects "Start scanning" in the "Baby list" window, "MobileHelp" will automatically scan all of the call records and messages (SMS/MMS). If the call records are to/from the "Baby list" defined, the records will be removed automatically.
